Mactaquac Provincial Park

Are you looking for a fun cheap day to spend with the family? Then why not pack a lunch and head to Mactaquac Provincial Park!

Mactaquac Provincial Park is a large woodland and recreations park, located on the Saint John River approximately y 15 km from Fredericton , NB in the town of Mactaquac on Route 105 and is approximately 1300 acres.

This Parks offers many walking/hiking trails (one even wheel chair accessible) beaver ponds, tadpoles catch and release for the kids, bird watching, visiting a small season waterfall are just a  few things to do.

Not from the Fredericton Area?  Not a problem the park has you covered it overs a large campground with over 300 campsites to choose from offering freshwater beaches, Golf and an amazing Tree Go.

We have been to the park several times and it doesn't matter what season it is we always enjoy hanging out in Mactaquac.  Below are some pictures of prior visit.

  1. Great post promoting Mactaquac Park, Sue. I go there often and hike the trails. There are some newly rebuilt ones - Alex Creek and Little Mactaquac that have new bridges built after Tropical Storm Arthur in 2014. Have you tried them yet? I've done some posts on them on my blog. There is a lot for the kids to do especially at the beaver ponds. Thanks for promoting 'my neighbourhood' park. Pam
