Super Pink Moon

No, the 'Super Pink Moon' isn't really pink … though I wish it was!!

A super moon takes place when a full moon is at its closest to the Earth.  The moon revolves around earth in a elliptical orbit, as an oval and it has a farthest and closest point from the earth as it goes around.  That is according to NASA I hope they know what they are talking about.

The Super Pink Moon was suppose to have been the biggest super moon of 2020, is actually named for a pink wildflower the Phlox, which commonly blooms in eastern North America in the early springtime.

It is also called Paschal moon, in the Christian calendar this used to calculate the date for Easter.  The first Sunday after Paschal moon is Easter Sunday.

The first super moon of this year was on March 9th and the last one will take place on May 7th

Even though the Super Moon will not be pink it will still be brilliant, as it will appear up to 7 percent bigger and a lot more brighter than the average full moon,

The moon actually never turns color, however it occasionally looks like it.  Some instances the moon may appear different color are if there were to be a lunar eclipse blocking it and turning it dark.
